Andrew Royer, O.D., is a board-certified optometrist at Ophthalmology Associates, serving patients in the greater St. Louis area. Dr. Royer specializes in multifocal contact lenses, hard to fit keratoconus and post-graft cases.
Dr. Royer is from Good Hope, IL, a small town in West Central Illinois. After graduating from Northwestern High School, he attended Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee and then transferred to Western Illinois University to complete his undergraduate studies. In 2005, Dr. Royer graduated with honors from Souther College of Optometry in Memphis earning his Doctor of Optometry degree. Dr. Royer joined Ophthalmology Associates in 2014 after training and practicing in a number of clinical settings including ownership of a private optometry practice. Despite a busy clinical practice, Dr. Royer is honored to have participated as a sub-clinical investigator in over 40 FDA clinical research trials testing new pharmaceutical agents and devices for the treatment of dry eye disease, allergic conjunctivitis, anterior uveitis and glaucoma.
Dr. Royer is happily married and has four children. He and his wife are involved in their community and coach youth sport teams. He enjoys golfing, hiking, hunting, and his favorite hobby is spending time with his family.

Dr. Royer is our in-office Contact Lens Specialist, specializing in multifocal contact lenses, hard to fit keratoconus and post-graft cases. Dr. Royer also actively diagnoses and treats patients with glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye disease, allergic conjunctivitis, diabetic retinopathy, Fuch’s corneal endothelial dystrophy and macular degeneration.
